Exam Overview

The exam session is being held in person on June 27, 2026 @ 2PM

The IN PERSON exam is open to all and will be held in French Creek at Grubbs Cabin on Saturday June 27, 2026 Starting at 2PM. This is open to anyone so if your ready to take the exam, then this session is for you!

For the exam, please arrive in the Grubbs Cabin between 1:30 and 1:45. Since this is a field day event, your welcome to arrive any time after 9AM.

Exam Fees

The charge for the ARRL sponsored exam is $15 for adults (18+) and $5 under 18 years old. It is fully refundable if you cancel your exam session or are unable to attend for any reason. Please use our online payment system at the following:

What to Bring

Bring the following to the exam:

One government issued photo ID or two forms of Photo ID's as directed on the ARRL webpage

A few #2 pencils with eraser Pen (to sign forms) A non-programmable calculator if required, cell phones are not permitted An offical copy of your Amateur Radio license (if you have one) FRN Number You must have an FCC Registration Number (FRN#) from the FCC prior to registering for the exam.

Obtaining an FCC Registration Number (FRN)

To obtain an FRN# you need to:

Create a CORES account with the FCC (if you have not already done so). Sign into your CORES account. Select "Register New FRN" and follow the instructions. Once your registration for the exam is complete, you will receive an email and one of the Volenteer Exminaineers will contact you to answer any questions.
