SafetyNET (tm-trade mark) is a communication function of the Inmarsat-C radio two-way data store-and-forward messaging system.
(a). AMVER is the automated mutual-assistance vessel rescue systems, where reports are sent regarding sailing plans, position, deviation, and arrival reports. These are used whenever a search and rescue efforts have to be made, to coordinate response wherever distress occurs at sea.
(b). VHF DSC, a marine radio operating on the very high frequency range (30 to 300 MHz) , and includes digital selecting calling. It is used for distress communications. The VHF band is limited to line-of-site range, but the DSC function will repeat distress calls received, and extend the propagation scope of the VHF marine radio.
(c). ARQ SITOR: SITOR is the sImplex teletype over radio transmits text messages over radio waves, kind of a radio texting. Wikipedia article on SITOR.
ARQ is a mode of telex messages in radio telegraphy that automatically requests a repeat of a message that was received with errors.

(A). Aural and/or visual alarms are activated and require manual deactivation.
Just remember it. The other choices intuitively don't seem appropriate.

Only Intermarsat service provides the SafetyNET(tm) message communication. Other choices are for different purposes.
The C system of Inmarsat is a naval mobile satellite service that has the EGC, or the enhanced group call, function to send messages to a specific ship station within the coverage of the Intermarsat satellite.
The SEC is the Ship Earth Station in the Inmarsat-C SES
