For the safety of yourself and the Volunteer Examineers, you must have a mask. You can take it off while taking the exam, but put it on when interacting with the volunteer examineers. All VEs will also be wearing masks.

PRE-REGISTRATION

Register with the FCC for an “FCC Registration Number” (FRN). We will need to put this on your Form 605. Please contact john@hogenmiller.net / 814-602-9298 to pre-register. You also pre-register simply by pre-paying. If you can, please pay the exam fee ($15) in advance. If you are unable to make the exam, we will refund you the exam fee. via PayPal as “friends and family.” . Here is the link to send money to the club PayPal account: https://paypal.me/BCARSK3NQT If you would like to pay by check, you can mail $15 to: BCARS PO Box 26 Everett, PA 15537 If you can, fill out the NCVEC Form 605 ahead of time and bring it to the exam, that will cut down on back and forth paper as well as speed things up. We will also have paper copy of this form at the exam. Finally, on the day of the exam, we do have a credit card reader and can take payment that way. This relies on cell phone, so please bring cash as a backup option in case there is technical difficulties.

FCC Amateur Radio Service Licensed VE Testing Program

This is your opportunity to take the exam to become an FCC Licensed Amateur Radio Operator.

Testing start promptly at 1PM and will continue until all exams are completed. Please let us know if you plan to attend or are not able to make it by 1PM. We will do our best to accommodate any potential licensee.

Testing includes the three Amateur Radio license classes, TECHNICIAN, GENERAL, and AMATEUR EXTRA. The event is open to anyone. There is a nominal non-refundable charge of fifteen dollars. ($15.00)

Please bring a recent photo ID (example: school ID, US passport, driver’s license), or a current FCC license . At the session, we will provide study materials (booklets containing the actual FCC question and answer license pools).

We host exams at the Bedford Legion on Business 220 in Bedford from 1pm-2pm (or done).
