REGISTRATION Instructions: ◦ The Capital City Amateur Radio Club Volunteer Examiner Team offers in-person electronic testing. We do not offer remote on-line exam sessions.
◦ We do not accept walk-ins, you must register prior to the registration deadline.
◦ Registrations received less than one week before the session may not be accepted. If there is at least one registrant who registered before the one week cutoff, then we will hold the session and new registrations will be accepted until the Friday before the session. ◦ If no one registers, there will NOT be an exam session.
◦ You’ll need to register and obtain a FCC Federal Registration Number (FRN) at https://apps.fcc.gov/cores/userLogin.do prior to registering for an exam. The FRN number is free and required for all licensing activities and communications with the FCC. Be sure your "registration name" matches your "FRN name" EXACTLY!
◦ You must include a valid email and your phone number during registration.
Exam Location Information: • Exams are held in the Lewis and Clark Library located at 120 S. Last Chance Gulch in downtown Helena, MT.
• Exams start promptly at 6:30 PM. Those arriving late may not be allowed to begin the exam.
What to bring to the exam session: • $14.00 cash • A photo ID such as your driver’s license. • You may bring a calculator with all programming erased. • Cell phones, personal tablets, or laptops are NOT permitted. • Bring the PIN that is generated when you REGISTER. We can provide your pin if you forget it.
