- This test is coordinated by the ARRL VEC. There is a $15 examination fee that must be paid either in advance or in person at the time of the session.
-
- If you are under the age of 18, the fee is $5 and your FCC fee will be reimbursed by the ARRL under the Youth Licensing Grant Program
- The test is never timed. Plan for at least 20 minutes for your exam, but take all the time you need.
- YOUTH UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE: The Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires that the parents or guardian of applicants under the age of 13 complete a COPPA form before using our electronic testing platform. Please have a parent or legal guardian download and complete this form as part of the registration process at HamStudy.org. Please email this completed form to coppa@examtools.org
- Special Needs/Requests: We are well aware of the special needs some have and we are happy to offer reasonable accommodations for you to complete your exam. We have provisions for sight impaired applicants as well. Please contact us ahead of your scheduled exam date with what considerations you might require to have a successful exam.
