AIMC Math Camp Session!

Exam availability
This session is available for anyone who wishes to take a US FCC Amateur Radio exam. All FCC amateur radio license exams (Technician, General, and Amateur Extra) are available to anyone from any state, territory, or country.
Welcome AIMC campers!
This session is for students who are a part of the Alliance for Indigenous Math Circles (AIMC) Indigenous Math Camp! You will be taking your Technician exam on Friday after preparing throughout the week! We are excited for all of you to take your test! The GLAARG testing fee is waived for students. However, the FCC application fee below still applies. If you register using your school email, you will be responsible for updating your information with the FCC before you lose it (like after you graduate) if applicable. We are excited to see you all at the session!
FCC application processing fee
The FCC charges a $35.00 fee for new (Technician) amateur radio licenses, renewals, and vanity call sign requests. This fee is in addition to the GLAARG $10.00 exam fee.
After you pass your exam, GLAARG will send your license application to the FCC. The FCC will issue a file number and email you a link with instructions on how to pay the fee online using their CORES system.
Once the FCC processes your application and emails you, you will have 10 days to pay the processing fee online.
Session logistics
You'll be taking your test in-person under our supervision. We will help you access the test online.
Make sure to turn on Do Not Disturb beforehand. If you receive any notifications during the test or exit out of the test at any point, we will nullify your exam.
Once you get an amateur radio license, the address you use will become public record. If you don't want this, consider getting a PO Box. You can use any US address where you can receive mail.
Parental consent
If you or anyone you are registering for this session is under the age of 13, please fill out the ExamTools COPPA Parental Consent Form and then email it to both coppa@examtools.org and n7ksw@glaarg.org.
