We are the early crew. While the rest of the hobby is still asleep we are online with the coffee on, and we have been doing that every morning for years: weekends, holidays, the lot. It suits shift workers. It suits parents who get an hour to themselves before the house wakes up. Mostly it suits anyone who would rather have the thing done before the day starts than spend a fortnight thinking about it.
One team of examiners stays with you from the first check to the last, so you are never handed off to a stranger halfway through. We watch you work, we grade the paper with you at the end, and we read you the result before you go. Nobody leaves a session with us wondering how they did. The fee is $15, the standard ARRL VEC charge, and there is nothing else to pay, before or afterwards.

Bring a photo ID, your FCC Registration Number, a computer with a webcam, and a room where nobody will interrupt you. The FRN is free and it comes from the FCC rather than from us, so it is worth setting up the evening before rather than at five to seven in the morning.
If it is your first exam, tell us when you arrive. We have sat with a great many nervous first-timers, and it always goes better when we know: we slow down, we say what is about to happen, and we stop treating it as a formality you have been through a hundred times. Most people are surprised by how ordinary it turns out to be.
