Amateur Radio license examinations administered by ARRL Volunteer Examiners. Technician, General, and Amateur Extra exams are available.

Pre-registration is required. Please obtain your FCC Registration Number (FRN) before registering for an exam session.

Examinations are offered electronically using ExamTools or on paper, at the candidate's preference. Candidates taking electronic exams are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet with Wi-Fi capability and a modern web browser. A limited number of club Chromebooks are available for candidates who need one.

Exam sessions are held at the Griffiss Institute, 592 Hangar Road, Rome, NY. If you currently hold an amateur license or have any valid CSCEs, please bring copies with you.
